Photo contest award

Mark Robertson won the president’s choice award for his photograph “Candlelight Diplomacy” at the Global Ties US national meeting in January 2016. The awards were given to the network of organizations who host international visitors around the USA. The winning photos capture the power and impact of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and demonstrate that citizen diplomacy and international exchange are key tools in building a more peaceful and prosperous world. Mark Robertson is a volunteer with NC Global Leadership.
